Infinity Key Replacement
Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury arm, uses many Nissan key systems but with higher-end smart key designs. From 2000s onward, nearly all models transitioned to proximity fobs with push-button start. Replacement fobs are costly and often dealer-restricted, but locksmiths with Nissan/Infiniti-capable programmers can originate keys on-site. Infiniti owners frequently require replacements due to high remote usage (trunk/power doors, remote start). Legacy G/Q models (1990s) use traditional steel/transponder keys, still in locksmith demand. Recent EV/hybrids (QX60 Hybrid, future EVs) use proximity-only workflows.
